As the weather gets chilly, it’s time to start thinking about switching your summer wardrobe for autumn and retiring those shorts and dresses for pants and jackets! Here are 5 fashion tips to help you get ready for the change of seasons.
Fashion isn’t just about looking good; it’s about feeling good too! It’s important to think about the weather changes when moving your wardrobe over from summer to autumn. Store your summer clothes away and go for something a little more practical for those chilly autumn mornings and nights. Think boots, pants and jackets! Keep it light for when it warms up during the day but wear things that suit both climates.
Whilst summer is about bright, pastel colours, autumn favours warm and cool tones. Cool tones are particularly ‘in’ this season so don’t just think oranges and reds, also think blues, greys and navy.
Autumn is the perfect season to accessorise your outfits. Why not throw on a scarf, hat or a beanie? Don’t be afraid to make bold choices, throw in a statement piece and stand out from the crowd. Now that pants are back in, it’s the perfect time to put those old belts back in use!
Clashing prints was once a fashion faux pas but now you’ll find big name designers and celebrities getting on board! Try and stick with complimentary colours, go back to the colour wheel if you have to. Another great tip is to separate the clash with a strong belt to make the outfit more harmonic.
Knits are also coming back this season. The great thing about that is most of us have a knitted jumper or scarf lying around in somewhere in the back of the cupboard. It’s time to get them back out and into the light of day again!
