In 2012, notorious Vermont skier Chuck Mumford founded Pit Viper. His work hard, party hard lifestyle led to the realisation that there were not any sunglasses that could handle that kind of abuse, so he set about to create some. The brand was named after a subfamily of venomous snakes, and developed the slogan, ‘Demand Respect and Authority’. Created to withstand harsh weather, Pit Viper sunglasses are able to take a beating, making them ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, or anyone wanting to look ‘functionable and fashionable’.
